Artwork by Brad Eyre

Headshot2.png

Brad Eyre is a Niagara-based artist whose recent work focuses on the juxtaposition of organic forms with geometric constructions. Each work evolves from a process which is more intuitive than intellectual - abstract paintings are created using hands and pressure to reveal a fluid, organic movement of paint.   The resulting paintings are then methodically deconstructed into segments which are reconstructed into compositions which contrast the ‘random with the deliberate’.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Brad has been creating artwork since the late 1980s and has worked within the cultural community for over 30 years.  Having obtained formal artistic training at the University of Toronto and the Museo del Prado in Madrid, he has held positions with the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art and the City of Toronto.  His work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions and galleries and is held by many private collections.
