Artwork by Brad Eyre

Headshot2.png

Brad Eyre is a Niagara-based artist whose work focuses on deconstructing and reconstructing images from one form to another.  Abstract paintings are created using hands and pressure to reveal a fluid, organic movement of paint.   The resulting paintings are then methodically deconstructed into segments which are reconstructed into completely new compositions.  Many of the finished works comprise 500 individual pieces or more.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Brad has been creating artwork since the late 1980s and has worked within the cultural community for over 30 years.  Having obtained formal artistic training at the University of Toronto and the Museo del Prado in Madrid, he has held positions within the cultural community at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art and the City of Toronto.  His work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions and galleries and is held by many private collections.
